Lancaster is following in the footsteps of large metropolitan areas like New York City and Philadelphia by creating its own restaurant week! Lancaster is a natural choice to showcase our local culinary talents since we’re surrounded by some of the country’s best and most well known farmland.
From rustic farm-to-table restaurants to gourmet gastronomical experiences, Lancaster’s Restaurant Week offers something for everyone.
Lancaster Restaurant Week: The Details
From March 4 – March 10, 2013, nearly 60 restaurants in the City of Lancaster will offer special menus and promotions in the theme of “2013″ during Lancaster City Restaurant Week, with the goal of showcasing the creative talent and diverse dining opportunities in Lancaster City.
Expect to find creative new menu items, custom cocktails, and prix fixe menus at special prices.
Restaurant Week on The Avenue
Make reservations at Gibraltar Restaurant to nosh on their lunch and dinner specials (13% off lunch, and 3 courses for $35.13 for dinner) with choices like House-Made Gnocchi with Short Rib Ragu, Fresh Ricotta, and Parmigiano, or Shellfish Spaghettini with Lobster, Clams, Mussels, Calamari, and Spicy Pomodoro.
FENZ Restaurant is offering a special 3-course prix fixe menu for dinner ($24.95 per person) including options such as Roasted Tomato Bisque with Grilled Cheese Focaccia; Chicken Puff Pie with Herbed Chicken Veloute, Vegetables, and a Puff Pastry Cap; and Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel Whipped Cream.
For something more laid back (perhaps for lunch), Thomas Campus Grilleis offering 2 small cheesesteaks, 2 small fries, and 2 drinks for $13.13.
Inside the Lancaster Arts Hotel is one of Lancaster’s most well-known organic farm-to-table restaurants, John J. Jeffries. Their restaurant week menu includes selections like their always popular Jim Bim Bop (Spicy Ground Pork Mix Mix Rice, Kimchi, Seasonal Vegetables, Chile Paste, and a Fried Egg), and Wild Shrimp and Grits (Ham, Bacon, Chorizo, Onions, and Greens served over Stone Milled Grits).
More Than Just Food
Lancaster Restaurant Week is featuring more than just food; our bars are getting involved too! Grey Goose is sponsoring an “Art of the Cocktail” contest, with participating bars creating their own unique cocktails based on Grey Goose vodka.
All week long, nine locations will showcase their liquid creativity as they battle it out in an “Art of the Cocktail” competition. As a patron, you get to vote for your favorite custom cocktail from all participating bars, such as The Pressroom, The Belvedere, and The Aqua Bar at Gibraltar Restaurant.

Take an Eating Tour of Lancaster City
